Last year, we brought you the most popular and searched terms of 2014. Keeping with tradition, we are excited to unveil the most searched for material of 2015.

Many of you were surprised to learn Robin Williams won the title for the most searches last year. This year’s results may be just as shocking.

So who or what was the most searched in 2015? Could it be new covergirl Caitlyn Jenner? Or perhaps the horrific Paris attacks? Some movie fanatics might guess the latest installment of the  Star Wars saga or Jurassic World…but none of these brought home the top prize for the year.

Celebrities have traditionally brought in the highest quantity of searches, and this year continues that pattern. So which celebrity gets the title of most searched in 2015? The calculations are in and the winner is none other than former NBA great and reality star Lamar Odom!

As the Internet world keeps evolving and information flow becomes faster and faster, we will continue to see new trends and changing behaviors when it comes to online searches. Who would have guessed that Cecil the Lion would be more searched than the Pope’s visit to the U.S. or the Iran Nuclear deal? The year was full of surprises when it comes to searching the web.

This year’s top Tweet is not nearly as surprising- #LoveWins took the Twitter universe by storm and was the most popular tweet of 2015. The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to give same-sex couples the right to marry prompted widespread celebration on social media, heralded by the hashtag #LoveWins.

What is more surprising is the second item on the list. CLICK HERE  to see the Top 5 Tweets of 2015.
